RF Engineer (Multiple Openings)
Perform LTE or 5G network design, deployment, initial tuning, troubleshooting and optimization. Interact with RAN equipment vendor (such as Samsung, Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia) equipment with regarding to 5G / LTE TDD and FDD optimization. Perform analysis of collected data using Actix, XCAL and XCAP. Post-processing of RF drive data and performing RF optimization based on analysis. Prepare cells and sites RF parameters list for launch. Provide RF technical support to RF design and optimization teams. Analyze RF traffic and perform capacity planning for site expansion. Recommend changes to RF services methods and procedures. Analyze PCI conflicts and confusions in support of 5G / LTE network RF launch or optimization. Audit and optimize site and sector level parameters, perform trials of RAN features. Generate KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reports, analyze it and propose performance optimization actions. Make technical recommendations about performance improvement and trial results. Frequent travel required to unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Minimum Qualifications: US Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus two (2) years of experience as an RF Engineer or related jobs.
Special Skill Requirements: Must have 1 year hands on experience utilizing the following tools: Actix, XCAL and XCAP.
